With growth in enrollments across higher education at about 2-3% annually and growth in successful online programs ranging anywhere from 10-30% per year, successfully growing enrollments and faculty resources by a factor of ten in four years seems difficult to imagine. Bucking the trend toward more corporate-oriented management models in higher education, Universities are in need to achieve scale focused on implementing greater involvement of the faculty to define and ensure quality.
